Suspect corporations were used during the survey and construction phase of the North Stream pipelines: British undersea munitions removal specialists, Italian ships connected to an energy giant with ties to the government etc. Because the ocean floor is littered with millions of tons of old world war munitions, we will likely never find out what happened.
